Currently AMO Journeys plans a children's camp in August 2019 in the Bucegi Mountains in Romania.
Different outdoor activities will include methods like coyote teaching, storytelling, wilderness awareness, training of social and inter-cultural skills, communication and German language training.
We will dive into some survival basics like fire-making or building a shelter in the woods and gain some primary knowledge into bird language, wild herbal remedies and animal tracking skills.
Cultivating gratitude, understanding the importance of routines and rituals and developing a sense for ecological issues are also important aspects of the camp experience.
The main requirement for participation is the willingness to step out of the comfort zone by experiencing mountaineering and hut - life with its rules and different cultural backgrounds.
Dates: 19th - 23rd August, 5 days, 4 nights
Target group: children aged 9-12 years
Working language of this Bucegi Wildniscamp will be intermediate / advanced level German.
It is also possible for international families to join, nonetheless the activities are just for the children. Parents may book a parallel 4 nights staying at the same mountain hut and take some time-off to relax on their own or to hike, without interfering in the camp dynamic.
