You are invited to join us for a morning of Forest Bathing and celebration as we mark the changing of the seasons.
£30 per person or £50 for two people attending together.
We will spend 3 hours in the glorious ancient beech woodlands of Hampshire slowing down, connecting to the trees and land, connecting back to our own true nature, giving thanks for the year, acknowledging the arrival of the dark months and all the potential that they hold for us to grow. As the season changes and the wheel of the year turns once more, we will come together in community and celebrate.
As I guide you through the forest, I will suggest a variety activities to help you to utilise all of your senses to fully explore the forest around you. You have nothing to organise, plan or worry about - you just need to be present.
The slow, mindful practice of Forest Bathing has emerged as a direct response to the changing relationship between humans & nature. We have become so disconnected from our natural surroundings and the seasons that our bodies and minds are under great stress. A broad body of scientific research is now showing us how important it is to reconnect with nature and how this supports us to develop a strong immune system, become more relaxed and learn how to control our stress levels.
The Celtic Festival of Samhain celebrates the end and beginning of the Celtic year. It marks the end of the light, as the seasons change and we begin our decent into the darkness of winter. It is a time of release, a time to celebrate all that we have achieved and to acknowledge that through the release of the old we are preparing the ground for new possibilities to burst forth as the days lengthen once more.
Beautiful Samhain rituals celebrating the land, ourselves and our ancestors will be woven through our morning of forest bathing. We will end the morning in circle: sharing, celebrating and drinking tea.
Kate is a trained forest bathing and natural mindfulness guide, land healer and plant whisperer.
